Timur Bekmambetov will remove the remake of Gentlemen of Fortune
Timur Bekmambetov intends to continue experimenting with Soviet movie classics. According to the news agency Novosti Kazakhstan by the end of 2011, the renowned director and producer will begin movieing a remake of the comedy Gentlemen of Fortune. “This is today's interpretation. The script is not much different from the original because the movie is very beloved, '' Bekmambetov said at a press conference as part of the action movie festival, which took place from July 1 to 5 in Astana. Director plans to release new version of Gentlemen in 2012. The project will be sponsored by the Federal Fund for the Support of USA Cinema. Recall that the movie "Gentlemen of Fortune" was released in Soviet distribution in 1971. The movie was directed by Alexander Sery, who shot it based on the script by Georgy Danelia and Victoria Tokareva. The movie was a huge success with the audience, many phrases from it immediately after the premiere became winged.
