Breakthrough Entertainment will be movieing Anne of Green Gables. The news is reported by The Hollywood Reporter. The project will be based on Lucy Montgomery's novel The Story of Anne Shirley, which tells the story of an orphan girl. The books by the Canadian writer have sold 50 million copies worldwide.The shooting of the new series `` Anne of Green Gables '' scheduled for summer 2013. Breakthrough Entertainment works closely with the writer’s granddaughter Kate MacDonald Butler and other Montgomery heirs. Butler is president of LM Montgomery Inc. and has all rights to use the book. The story of the red-haired girl has been adapted many times for productions, musicals, cartoons, movies and TV shows.
