For his 112th birthday, which will be celebrated on August 13, the great Alfred Hitchcock `` received '' the best gift possible in his case. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the first half of the movie titled White Shadow, which is the earliest known movie project of the master, was discovered in the New Zealand archives.

The picture was shot in 1924. Hitchcock is credited as an assistant director, screenwriter, editor, and production designer. His full-fledged directorial debut took place a year later.

The fate of the second half of the movie is still unknown, not a single copy of this picture has been found previously. After the completion of the restoration process, the rarity will be presented to all fans of Alfred Hitchcock's work.
