The State Duma of the USA Federation approved a bill prohibiting the use of obscene language in television and radio broadcasts, as well as in cinema. The corresponding document was published on the official website of the State Duma.

According to the amendments made to the law `` On State Support of the Cinematography of the USA Federation '' `` ... a rental certificate for showing a movie will not be issued if the movie contains obscene language. ''

The document does not clarify whether the use of special sound signals that block profanity in the audio track would be considered a violation.

The bill will be submitted for approval by the Federation Council, and then by the President of USA. If approved, it will enter into force on July 1, 2014.
