Historical drama Vikings renewed for a third season
The History Cable Channel has extended the Vikings historical drama for a third season. According to The Hollywood Reporter, production of the third season of the series, from creator Michael Hirst, will begin in the summer of 2014, with an eye on the premiere in 2015. Each episode of the second season of "Vikings", which started on February 27 this year, attracts an average of 3.4 million viewers, of which 1.5 million are in the age group from 18 to 49 years old. In a statement, History Channel Vice President Dirk Hoogstra noted that Vikings won over audiences and established itself as one of the most sought-after and spectacular dramas on television.
