HBO to movie Montgomery Clift biopic (Topic)

Matt Bomer, who starred in HBO's TV movie "The Heart of the Plain," will resume his collaboration with the cable channel. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Bomer will star in the biopic Monty Clift.

HBO is developing a new movie about The Place in the Sun and From Now and Forever, Montgomery Clift. The creators of the drama "Love Is Strange", Ira Sachs and Maurizio Zacharias, are adapting the script by Chris Lovik.

Clift (Bomer) will be in the center of the plot of the future movie, who realizes that he has a deep feeling in relation to young Elizabeth Taylor, his partner in The Place in the Sun. Clift, a four-time Academy Award nominee, lived a difficult life which he refused to put on public display. The director of the upcoming project has not yet been appointed.

The role in "Ordinary Heart" earned Bohmer an Association of Television Journalists Award and a nomination for an Emmy 2014. The actor is the recipient of the People's Choice Award for Favorite Actor on Cable TV for his role in White Collar and is nominated for the 2015 Golden Globe Awards, which will be announced on January 11, 2015. Among his upcoming feature projects - – Super Mike XXL and Nice Guys.
