The organizers of the Rome International Film Festival decided to honor the memory of Alexei German with an award for his contribution to the development of cinema. This is reported by the Variety edition. The director, who died in February 2013, will be awarded to his widow and son Aleksey German Jr., who will present to the guests of the festival his latest project - the movie Hard to Be God, based on the work of the Strugatsky brothers. Alexey German did not have time to complete the picture, work on it continued after his death.
