Brenton Thwaites has joined the cast of Pirates of the Caribbean 5: Dead Men Tell No Tales. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the actor will get the role of a British soldier, and in fact, his character will take the place of Will Turner, who was previously played by Orlando Bloom, in the franchise.

Recall that earlier viewers could see Thwaites in movies such as "The Initiate" and "Maleficent". In the latter, he played Prince Phillip.

Pirates of the Caribbean 5 will be directed by Joaquim Ronning and Espen Sandberg, who previously directed Kon-Tiki. The main role will be played by Johnny Depp and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer. The Spanish actor Javier Bardem agreed to play the role of the villain.

Earlier it was reported that the shooting of the fifth part of "Pirates" will take place in the Australian state of Queensland, as the government of the country provided the creators of the picture benefits in the amount of $ 21 million. In turn, the Walt Disney studio has guaranteed investments of up to $ 100 million and the creation of thousands of jobs. The premiere is scheduled for July 7, 2017.

The fourth part of the movie earned more than one billion dollars at the worldwide box office, despite the fact that its critics' rating was very low.
