Jared Leto is ready to become a mutant instead of Will Smith
Within two weeks of Will Smith's refusal to star in the movie adaptation of the science fiction novel Genius, Universal and Legendary Pictures have found a replacement for him. According to Variety, the main contender is now Jared Leto is listed, with whom intensive negotiations are underway. Recall that the novel takes place in a parallel reality, in which approximately one percent of people are born with extraordinary abilities as a result of genetic mutation. The main character is federal agent Nick Cooper, whom his own mutation has made the best terrorist hunter. He is opposed by an equally gifted adversary who can plunge the world into chaos and bloody wars. Terms of work on the project have not yet been determined.
