Rachel McAdams to star in the fantasy movie The Passenger
Rachel McAdams has joined the cast of the science fiction movie Passengers. This is reported by the Variety edition. Recall that the action of the picture will take place on board a starship that carries earthly colonists to a distant planet. The protagonist named Jim Preston comes out of cryogenic sleep 100 years before the end of the trip and, realizing that he is destined to spend the rest of his days all alone, wakes up one of the passengers. A romantic relationship is struck between them, but an idyll is disturbed by a serious accident that threatens the life of everyone on board. Note that Reese Witherspoon was previously listed as the female lead, but she dropped out of the project. Jim Preston will be played by Keanu Reeves.
