BBC unveils first Twelfth Doctor promo video
The BBC has unveiled the first official promotional video with Peter Capaldi as the Twelfth Doctor from Doctor Who. The Time Lord is wearing a navy blue Crombie coat with red lining, navy blue trousers, white shirt and black boots by Dr. Marten. The costume designer of the series Howard Burden took part in the creation of the image. Peter Capaldi said the following about his character: “He weaved the future from the fabric of the past. Simple, perfect, no frills. No frills, no scarf, no gilding - real one hundred percent Rebel Time Lord. " The series executive producer Stephen Moffat added: "A new Doctor, a new era and, of course, new clothes. Monsters of the entire universe, the holidays are over - Capaldi is dressed and shoes and is following you!" In the eighth season of the renewed series, Jenna Coleman will play the role of Capaldi's on-screen companion, Clara Oswald. The script for the first episode of the eighth season was written by Stephen Moffat, and the second by Phil Ford. Both episodes are directed by Ben Wheatley.
