2015 Golden Globe Awards (TV Series) Announced
The 2015 Golden Globe Awards ceremony was held in the USA, which is awarded by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association. Best Drama Series was "Romance" (Showtime), and Ruth Wilson, who played the main female role in it, was named Best Drama Actress. Kevin Spacey ("House of Cards") won in the same men's category. Amazon streaming new comedy "Obvious" also won two awards - Best Series - Musical or Comedy and Best Actor - Comedy or Musical (Jeffrey Tambor). Gina Rodriguez, the leading actress on the comedy series Jane the Virgin (The CW), won the Best Actress - Musical or Comedy category. "Fargo" (FX) was voted "Best Miniseries or Movie on TV" and Billy Bob Thornton was named "Best Actor for a Miniseries or Movie on TV." Maggie Gyllenhaal received a Golden Globe in a similar female category for her role in the miniseries “Noble Woman” (BBC / SundanceTV). Matt Bomer (Common Heart) and Joanne Froggatt (Downton Abbey) were named Best Actor and Best Supporting Actress in a Miniseries or Movie on TV, respectively.
