Denzel Washington to star in the remake of The Magnificent Seven (Topic)

Denzel Washington and director Antoine Fuqua are joining forces to create a remake of the acclaimed Western, The Magnificent Seven. This is reported by the Variety edition.

Recall that the moviemaker met earlier on the set of the movie `` Training Day '', for which Washington was awarded an Oscar.

Yul Brynner played the main role in the original 1960 movie, which was also a free remake of the Japanese Seven Samurai. The movie had three full-length sequels, and in the 90s of the last century a series based on it was released.

Note that it was previously reported that Tom Cruise should play the main role in the remake. However, there was no further information about this project.<
