Chris Pratt has received an offer to play one of the main roles in the new version of the classic western "The Magnificent Seven". The Hollywood Reporter reports this with reference to its sources.

In the original 1960 movie, which in turn was a loose interpretation of the Japanese movie "Seven Samurai", the plot was built around a squad of shooters who are hired to protect the inhabitants of a Mexican village. The main role was played by Yul Brynner. The movie had three full-length sequels, and in the 90s of the last century, a series based on it was released.

The new version will be movieed by director Antoine Fukua, and the role of one of the characters will be played by Denzel Washington, with whom Fukua previously worked on the set of the movie "Training Day". Earlier it was also reported that Tom Cruise may star in the western, but this information has not been officially confirmed at the time of this writing.

Note that in recent years, Chris Pratt has become one of the most sought-after actors in Hollywood. In addition to his collaboration with Marvel Studios, in projects of which he played the role of Star-Lord, the actor played one of the main roles in the science fiction movie Jurassic World, which is a continuation of the famous franchise.
