Christoph Waltz will accompany Michael Douglas in the political drama Reykjavik, directed by Mike Newell. This is reported by The Hollywood Reporter.
It is alleged that the German actor got the role of the General Secretary of the CPSU Central Committee Mikhail Gorbachev. Recall that the action of the picture will take place in 1986, when a meeting of American and Soviet leaders took place in Iceland, which put an end to the arms race between the United States and the USSR.
Ridley Scott's Scott Free Productions will be contributing to the movie. Filming will start in March 2013.
The rental schedule has not yet been specified.
