The winners of the Venice Film Festival have been announced
The winners of the main prizes of the international movie festival have been announced in Venice. The main prize is the Golden Lion received South Korean director Kim Ki-dook's movie Pieta. Silver Lion the best director was awarded to Paul Thomas Anderson, who shot The Master. Joaquin Phoenix and Philip Seymour Hoffman, who starred in it, shared the award for Best Actor. Israeli actress Adas Yaron, who starred in the movie Fill the Void, won a similar female nomination. The 69th Venice Film Festival was held from 29 August to 8 September 2012.
