![]() Game of Thrones' lead actors and HBO have just finalized a renegotiation of their contracts. Now, the actors' contracts contain an additional clause for the seventh season, which will allow them to become one of the highest paid actors on cable TV. This is reported by The Hollywood Reporter with reference to its sources. Although the series "Game of Thrones" was renewed in April of this year only for the fifth and sixth seasons, the HBO channel decided to play it safe and included a clause in the contracts that does not guarantee production of the seventh season, but does allow for higher fees in the fifth and sixth. The promotions will be divided into groups, conventionally dividing the actors into "A" class: Kit Harington (Jon Snow), Peter Dinklage (Tyrion Lannister), Lena Hedy (Cersei Lannister) Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen) and Nikolai Coster-Waldau (Jaime Lannister), who will receive the biggest increase. The fees of B-class actors - Natalie Dormer (Margaery Tyrell), Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark), Maisie Williams (Arya Stark) and some others - will not skyrocket, but will be much higher than the regular actors of the next, third grade. Writer George R.R. Martin is currently working on the six and seven books of his A Song of Ice and Fire, The Winds of Winter, and given his habit of ruthlessly killing his characters, none of the actors can know for sure in how many seasons he will be movieing. In the fifth season of the show, which is scheduled to premiere in the spring of 2015, new actors will appear: Alexander Siddig, Toby Sebastian, The Topic of Article: Game of Thrones Casting Fees to Increase Significantly in Season 7. |
