BBC America to air Doctor Who specials ahead of Season 8
Leading up to Doctor Who's eighth season premiere on August 23, 2014, BBC America will air a few special episodes and teamed up with Fathom Events to host the first full-length episode in theaters across the country. This is reported by Variety. So, the special episodes listed below will be released on the following schedule: August 16 at 21:00 - "Doctor Who: The Companions" August 16 at 10:00 pm - " The Real History of Science Fiction: Time " August 18 at 8:00 am - " Doctor Who Takeover Week " August 18 at 22:00 - " Doctor Who: The Ultimate Time Lord " Starting August 6, BBC America on its website gives fans of the series the chance to vote on their favorite episodes of the show. The series' overwhelming voices will be included in the marathon starting on August 24. Regarding the full-length premiere episode of the eighth season, called `` Deep Breath '', it will air on August 23 and 25 in selected theaters USA, a list of which can be found on the Fathom Events website. The episode will include 15 minutes of additional material. In addition to all activities, comedian and Doctor Who fan Actor Chris Hardwicke will host two live talk shows on Aug 23 - Doctor Who: Live Pre-Show at 7:30 pm and Doctor Who: After Who Live at 23:00, featuring guest stars including screenwriter and actor Mark Gatisse.
