The CW has changed its plans for a series featuring Grant Gustin The Flash. This is reported by the publication Deadline.

Initially, it was assumed that the character will appear in three episodes of the second season of the TV series `` Arrow '' - eighth, ninth and twentieth, and the latter was positioned as a `` secret '' a pilot episode from director David Nutter.

The eighth and ninth episodes, in which the superhero is presented as his alter ego Barry Allen, have already been movieed. Now, the CW has decided to keep the tradition and release a separate pilot episode dedicated to the Flash, instead of "secret" series.

In the pilot, Flash will appear in a red suit for the first time, as it was planned to do in the twentieth episode of Arrows. The team will remain the same, led by the show's creators Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg and screenwriter Jeff Jones. Nutter, who directed the pilot for Arrows, is listed as the director of the new series. Berlanti, Kreisberg and Nutter will executive produce.

In light of recent changes, it is not yet clear if The Flash, or any mention of him, will appear in episode 20 of Arrow. In Arrow Barry Allen (Gustin) is the Central City Police Assistant Medical Assistant.
