James McAvoy will play one of the main roles in the movie dedicated to the founder of WikiLeaks Julian Assange. This is reported by the Variety edition.
The actor will get the role of the "right hand" Assange Daniel Domscheit-Berg, who wrote WikiLeaks Secrets: My Work With Assange on the Internet's Most Dangerous Project after breaking up with his boss in 2010. The rights to its adaptation were acquired by DreamWorks.
Benedict Cumberbatch will play the founder of the resource. Bill Condon has been appointed director of the movie. The shooting schedule and the estimated date of the premiere have not yet been specified.
