NASA completed testing of Base Lightyear's spacesuit
The American Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has completed testing a prototype of a new space suit, codenamed Z-1, which is almost exactly the same as Baz Lightyear's Toy Story suit. This is reported by the Daily Mail. Unlike the previous model of the spacesuit, which has been in use for the past 20 years, the new one is much lighter. The main feature is a hatch located on the back, with the help of which astronauts will be able to put on the spacesuit as quickly as the heroes of science fiction movies do. Previously, this procedure required at least an hour. Thanks to the unique hatch, the spacesuit can be attached to the outer shell of spacecraft, and astronauts will "enter" into it from the inside. This eliminates the need to carry out a lengthy pressure equalization procedure. The suit is suitable for use both in outer space and on the surface of other planets.
