Game of Thrones showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss devised a plan in case the seventh book by George R.R. Martina from A Song of Ice and Fire has yet to be finished when it comes time to movie the show's final season. This is reported by The Hollywood Reporter.
Benioff and Weiss released the first season of the series in 2011, having at that time the material of four books in the series. April 6 will premiere the fourth season of "Game of Thrones", which tells the story of the second half of the third book. This means that there is not so much literary material left, even taking into account the fact that in 2011 the fifth novel was completed - "Dance with Dragons."
David Benioff stated, that last year they met with Martin and talked about the possible development of events that will occur in the seventh book of the writer.
