Texas Rising premiere date announced
The History Channel miniseries The Texas Revolution, which chronicles the Texas Revolution and the rise of the legendary Texas Rangers, will premiere on Memorial Day, May 25, 2015. This is reported by the Variety edition. In the eight-part television project of executive producer Leslie Greif, the main role is – legends of Texas, Sam Houston – performed by Bill Paxton. The miniseries will show the struggle he waged with the Mexican general Santa Anna for the independence of Texas. Oscar nominee appointed as project director Roland Joffe (Killing Fields). Greif's previous series for History Channel, Hatfields & McCoys starring Paxton and Kevin Costner set record ratings for the channel. In the miniseries Texas Rising; famous actors such as Chris Kristofferson, Brendan Fraser, Ray Liotta, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Thomas Jane, Olivier Martinez, Chad Michael Murray and Jeremy Davis are also involved.
