Martin Scorsese finally got a real opportunity to make his old dream come true - to movie the novel Silence the famous Japanese writer Shusaku Endo.

According to Deadline, the director managed to negotiate co-financing for the project with Emmett / Furla Films and Corsan Films. It is assumed that the movieing of the movie will start in the fall of 2014 in Taiwan.
