The shooting of the movie "Transformers 5: The Last Knight" has started in Cuba. The director of the movie, Michael Bay, announced this on his official Instagram page, accompanying his post with a picture of a rare car, which in many respects have been preserved on Freedom Island.

"The second American movie to be shot in Cuba is Transfomers. An amazing place," he wrote. Note that the first Hollywood movie project, which was movieed in Cuba after almost 60 years of isolation, was the action adventure "Fast and Furious 8."

Recall that the key roles in the movie will be played by Mark Wahlberg, Isabela Moner, Stephen Merchant, Jean Dujardin, Peter Cullen and other actors. The summary at the time of this writing was not specified, but it is likely that the script will be based on the "Knights of Cybertron" storyline, which deals with the first Transfomers who created a knightly order and set out to conquer the universe to bring the light of enlightenment and wisdom. Transformers 5 will be released on June 23, 2017.

Paramount Pictures has already announced the release of the sixth and seventh episodes, which will be presented to viewers in the summer of 2018 and 2019, respectively. Whether Michael Bay will retain the director's post is unknown.
