Johnny Depp will star in a biopic about the famous programmer and founder of the popular antivirus software company McAfee. According to The Wrap, the project tentatively titled "King of the Jungle" will be movieed in the "black comedy" genre.

Recall that John McAfee is considered one of the pioneers in the field of antivirus scanning. His fortune was once estimated at hundreds of millions of dollars, but in the 2000s, as a result of unsuccessful investments and the general economic crisis, it decreased to several million dollars. In this regard, McAfee decided to leave the United States and settle in Belize, as this country has a more loyal tax system.

In 2012, the country's authorities suspected McAfee of involvement in the murder of the owner of one of the villas located in the vicinity of his house. As a result, the famous programmer fled to Guatemala and accused Belize law enforcement officers of fabricating a case against him. Later, John McAfee was deported to the United States.

The project will be presented to potential buyers on the international movie market as part of the anniversary Cannes Film Festival. The director of the movie is Glenn Ficarra, creator of the "Focus" crime melodrama.
