Ghost in the Shell premiere rescheduled
Walt Disney Pictures has changed the premiere date for Ghost in the Shell, based on popular Japanese manga. According to the official press release, the picture will not be presented to viewers on April 14, 2017, as previously planned, but on March 31, 2017. The reason for the change in the rental schedule is not disclosed, but, most likely, Walt Disney does not want to compete at the box office with the movie "Fast and Furious 8", which was also scheduled to premiere on April 14 of the same year. The manga was introduced to comic book fans in 1989. Its plot is built around a special unit dealing with high-tech crime. The rights to movie the manga are owned by DreamWorks. Its leader is Steven Spielberg. repeatedly said that he had long dreamed of making a movie based on "Ghost in the Shell". But in the end, the famous director will be limited to production functions, and the production of the movie will be directed by the creator of "Snow White and the Huntsman" Rupert Sanders. Initially, the main role in the movie was offered to the actress Margot Robbie, known to viewers from the movie "The Wolf of Wall Street".
