The Marvel Film Studio has decided on the directors of the movie "Captain Marvel", which will be based on a series of popular comics. According to the Variety edition, the creators of the drama "Walking the Mississippi" Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck will be responsible for the shooting of the picture.
It is alleged that negotiations were conducted with several candidates at once, but in the end the head of the studio, Kevin Feige, chose on these directors. The argument in their favor was the fact that they also worked on episodes of high-profile television series such as Billions and Lovers.
The movie will be presented to viewers in 2019. Academy Award winner Brie Larson will play the lead role. Quite possibly, that the heroine herself will be represented in one of the previously released team movies of the Marvel studio.
Recall that in the original source, the nickname Captain Marvel belonged to several characters. The debut took place in 1967, and initially Captain Marvel was considered an agent of the alien race Kree. But since 2012, the character's costume and abilities belong to Carol Danvers, a talented US Air Force pilot who had a chance to meet the alien Mar-Vell and get some of his supernatural powers from him.
