Nathan Fillion signed for Castle's sequel
A spokesperson for ABC has confirmed that Castle star Nathan Fillion has signed a new contract to continue movieing for Season 8 if the show is renewed for the 2015-2016 season. However, the status of the female lead, Stana Katik, whose contract also ends this spring, remains in question. This is reported by TV Line. It has also been officially announced that David Amann will not return as showrunner if the series is renewed, and TV Line sources say series creator Andrew W. Marlowe and executive producer Terry Edda Miller will likely take a step away from their production and writing activities and focus on development.
