Jake Gyllenhaal joins the Cannes Film Festival jury
The organizers of the 68th Cannes Film Festival presented the composition of the international jury. It includes, in particular, the popular American actor Jake Gyllenhaal, British actress Sienna Miller, French actress Sophie Marceau, Mexican director Guillermo Del Toro, Spanish actress Rozzi de Palma, Canadian director and producer Xavier Dolan, and Mali composer Rockia Traore. p> The panel of judges is headed by renowned American directors, producers and screenwriters Joel Coen and Ethan Coen. 17 movies will compete for the main prize of the Cannes Film Festival - "Golden Palm", among which at the time of this writing there was not a single USA one. Thierry Fremaud, program director of the French movie forum, did not rule out that several more could be added to the list of candidates. Fourteen more movie projects from around the world will be presented as part of the "Unassigned View" program. The movie that will open the work of the festival will be the drama "Head Up" directed by Emmanuel Bercot. Out of the competition program, the premiere of the fantastic movie "Mad Max 4: Fury Road" will take place. The 68th Cannes Film Festival will take place May 13-24.
