Working Title and Universal Pictures have announced a new adaptation of Hans Christian Andersen's famous fairy tale "The Little Mermaid." According to Variety, Chloe Grace Moretz will play the lead role. Earlier it was assumed that the director of the movie would be Sofia Coppola, but the contract with her was not concluded, since she did not want to see Moretz and other actresses like her in the role of the Little Mermaid.
