In the cast of the movie "Mary Poppins", which is believed to be a continuation of the famous Hollywood movie in 1964, there was another replenishment. Popular British actor Colin Firth has joined him, Variety reports.
It is alleged that he got the role of William Weatherall Wilkins, who in the original movie was mentioned in one of the songs as the president of Fidelity Fiduciary. The name of this character also appears in the third novel by Pamela Travers, called "Mary Poppins Opens the Door", but only as the former owner of the book.
We will remind that earlier in the movie agreed to play Meryl Streep and Emily Blunt, the latter got the role of Mary Poppins herself. The sequel is directed by Rob Marshall, who has previously collaborated with Walt Disney, movieing for her such movies as Pirates of the Caribbean 4: On Stranger Tides and the musical tale Into the Woods. The plot of the movie was not specified at the time of this writing. "Mary Poppins" will be released for wide distribution on Christmas 2018.
