The unnamed drama directed by Robert Zemeckis, which he will shoot for Universal, has been replenished. According to The Wrap, the cast was joined by Gwendoline Christie, who is known to viewers for her role as Brienne Trat in the TV series Game of Thrones and Captain Phasma in the new Star Wars trilogy.
The project will be based on real events and will tell the story of a man who built a miniature village during the Second World War in order to cope with the consequences of psychological trauma after the attack. The main character, Mark, will be played by Steve Carell, while Christie is given the role of Anna, a USA woman who takes care of him.
The movie will be based on a 2010 documentary that tells this dramatic story. Steve Starkey is appointed producer. with whom Zemeckis has been cooperating for several decades. The terms of work on the project and a possible rental schedule have not yet been specified.
