Game of Thrones cast as Lord Randyll Tarly

Even if Samwell Tarly (John Bradley) lost his best friend, at least he will meet his family. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Sam's newly cast younger brother, Deacon, Freddie Stroma, has been joined by three British actors who will play other members of the Tarly clan in the upcoming sixth season of HBO's Game of Thrones.

James Faulkner (Downton Abbey) will play Sam's father, Lord Randyll Tarly. An experienced and fearless warrior, Randyll Tarly was distinguished by arrogance and intolerance. After all his attempts to make his eldest son a "real man" ended in nothing, he hated Sam and got rid of him at the first opportunity, forcing him to join the Night Watch.

Role of Sam's mother, Melessa Florent, went to the theatrical actress Samantha Sapiro ("Bad Learning"). Little is known about the character, only that Sam, in a conversation with Jon Snow (Kit Harington), spoke of her as a kind person.

Rebecca Benson ("Music Tied Us") got the role of Sam's sister, Tulla ... She has two more sisters, but their names are unknown.

In the final episode of the fifth season of Game of Thrones, Sam, along with Lilly (Hannah Murray), left Black Castle, heading to Oldtown, where he intended to study and become maester. Sam does not yet know what later happened to the Lord Commander and his friend, Jon Snow.
