British director Christopher Nolan has begun movieing a war drama called Dunkirk in Normandy. It is reported by the Variety edition. The work will use 65mm wide-format cameras, as well as Imax 65mm imaging systems. In addition to France, movieing will take place in Holland, UK and USA.

The movie, which will be based on Nolan's own script, will feature Tom Hardy, Cillian Murphy, Mark Rylance, Kenneth Branagh, Anairin Barnard, Harry Styles, Jack Louden and other actors.

Recall that the movie will tell about the operation codenamed "Dynamo", one of the largest during the Second World War. Its goal was to rescue the remnants of the French army, as well as the British expeditionary force from the Nazi-occupied French territory. Thanks to the efforts of the British military, as well as the assistance of the civilian population of both countries, a total of more than 330,000 troops were evacuated.

The German Air Force made great efforts to disrupt the rescue operation, but the Allies managed to repel almost all attacks.

The premiere of the movie "Dunkirk" is announced for July 20, 2017.
