Best female lead was named at the 2015 Oscars. Julianne Moore (Still Alice) went to the category award. Her competitors were Marion Cotillard (Two Days, One Night), Felicity Jones (Stephen Hawking Universe), Rosamund Pike (Gone Girl) and Reese Witherspoon (Wild). This is Julianne Moore's first Academy Award. She was previously nominated for an Oscar four times, but failed to win the award.
