One of the advertising posters of the movie "X-Men: Apocalypse" caused serious indignation among the fairer sex. According to The Hollywood Reporter, this is a poster that depicts the Apocalypse himself, grabbing the Mystic's throat.

In particular, actress Rose McGown, wrote a lengthy text on her official Facebook page, in which she called this type of advertising "unacceptable". “It’s a big problem if the men and women at 20th Century Fox consider the graphic depiction of violence against women to be good marketing for the movie. There is no explanation on the posters, just a woman being strangled. Interestingly, no one thought this was provocative or just plain stupid. what would it be like if the poster had a white man strangling a black man or a heterosexual character strangling a homosexual. The reaction would have been very different, "she wrote.

She is echoed by Jennifer McCliary-Stills, one of the heads of the human rights organization International Center for Research on Women, who described the poster as "very problematic." Some bloggers posted pictures of posters on the streets of New York, which were covered with stickers that read: "I don't think it's normal for my children to see scenes of this kind of violence."

The studio has yet to respond to this criticism.
