Warner Bros. Film Studio which doubled its efforts in 2016 to combat Internet sites that distribute pirated content, got so carried away by the process that it entered the list of its own movies and the largest resources that are legal distributors of its content in the register of prohibited for issuance in Google searches.

As reported by Torrent Freak, with the help of its contractor, Vobile, which Warner Bros. delegated the right to compile a list of pirate sites, the studio asked Google to remove from the search results the official site of the movie "The Dark Knight", as well as the project page in the Amazon store that sells licensed editions of the movie, and the movie page in the IMDb database.

Something similar happened with the official site of the "Matrix" trilogy, located on the subdomain of the Warner Bros studio page itself, and many others. Simply put, the studio has noted as pirated pages, through which it receives a large income, or quite legally representing its movie projects on the Web.

Fortunately, Google specialists turned out to be more attentive and, at their own peril and risk, decided not to throw out the websites of such giants as IMDb and Amazon from the search. It is noteworthy that the investigation into the site of the Warnerbros.com studio itself, which appeared in the registry, will be continued.
