Jim Carrey to star in the horror comic adaptation
Popular Hollywood comedian Jim Carrey will star in the movie based on the horror comic strip entitled "Alistair Arcane", which is about to shoot director Eli Roth. This is reported by The Holywood Reporter. Created by Steve Niles and Bryn Burns in 2004, the plot revolves around the host of the late-night television show, Alistair Greene, who is brought to trial after one failed experiment. The process destroys his life and literally brings him to the grave. However, before dying, he imposes a curse on the city that only children can neutralize. The adaptation of the graphic novel for the screen will be done by John Crocker, the screenwriter of The Woman in Black 2: Angel of Death. Kerry will also serve as a producer on the project. The term of work and a possible rental schedule for the movie adaptation have not yet been specified. Note that Jim Carrey has a rich experience of movieing in movies based on comics. In 1995, the movie "Batman Forever" was released, in which he played Dr. Edward Nygmu, and in 2013 the actor took part in the movie "Kick-Ass 2", also based on the graphic novel.
