AMC and BBC One, as well as production company The Ink Factory, have announced the addition of the cast of the television adaptation of John le Carre's novel "The Night Administrator." According to ComingSoon, Olivia Coleman (Murder on the Beach), Tom Hollander (Pirates of the Caribbean 3: At World's End) and Elizabeth Debicki (The Great Gatsby) have joined the previously confirmed lead roles for Hugh Laurie (Doctor House ") and Tom Hiddleston (" Midnight in Paris "), as well as director Suzanne Beer (" Revenge "). Filming of the miniseries will begin this spring.

The modern interpretation of Le Carre's spy drama will be the first adaptation of the famous writer’s novel for television in the last twenty years. Story in the mini-series "Night Administrator" will talk about love, loss and revenge. The main character is a former British soldier, Jonathan Pine (Hiddleston), who serves as the night administrator at a luxury hotel. He is recruited by intelligence operative Burr (Coleman) to uncover an arms trafficking scheme between Whitehall and Washington. In order to gain the credibility of an English arms dealer, Richard Onslow Roper (Laurie), Pine must become a criminal himself. Roper's inner circle includes his girlfriend Jed (Debicki) and his accomplice Corcoran (Hollander).

Published in 1993, The Night Administrator became a bestseller in the UK and the US and has been translated into 20 languages.

The premiere of a miniseries based on a script by David Farr ("Hannah. Perfect Weapon") is scheduled for 2016. Executive Producers – Stephen Cornwell, Simon Cornwell, Stephen Garrett, David Farr and Polly Hill.
