IDW Publishing House will once again attempt to movie the graphic novel by Joe Hill "Locke & Key". This is reported by The Hollywood Reporter.

Five years ago, IDW, Fox, producers Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci, and Steven Spielberg planned to adapt the comic. This will now be handled by IDW and series creator Joe Hill, who will write the script.

"Locke & Key" tells the story of the Locke who moved into an old family mansion after the tragedy that happened to the head of the family ... Three children are faced with the magic and evil lurking in the house. The comic was published for five years, from 2008 to 2013. More than a million copies of the work have been sold worldwide, translated into a dozen languages.

Joe Hill will write and executive produce with IDW representatives Ted Adams and David Ozer, as well as David Elpert (The Walking Dead) and Rick Jacobson (Ash vs. Evil Dead). IDW Entertainment plans to develop the project in the format of a TV series, and then offer it to television networks.
