20th Century Fox is movieing a comic book series titled "Irredeemable". This is reported by the ComicBook edition. Ant-Man scriptwriter Adam McKay has been appointed director, while Operation Dead Snow creator Tommy Vircola will adapt the original for the screen.

The series was created by writer Mark Wade and illustrator Peter Krause in 2009. In the center of the plot is the greatest superhero of the Earth, Pluto, who turns into a villain and begins to methodically destroy the population of the planet. Former colleagues of Pluto, united in a team called Paradigm, seek to stop him. They are hindered not only by the villains who have risen under the banner of Pluto, but also by their own contradictions and lack of faith in victory. The series ran until 2012 with a total of thirty-seven episodes.

Terms of work on the project and its possible rental schedule have not been specified at the time of this writing.

Recall that in 2016, Adam McKay was one of the favorites of the Oscar race, nominated for an Academy Award for the movie "The Short Game." As a result, he received an Oscar for the script for this movie. As for Tommy Vircola, he also had the movie "Witch Hunters".
