ABC plans to movie a special episode of The Walking Dead, which takes place in the same time frame as the companion series Fear The Walking Dead. According to Entertainment Weekly, AMC is producing a half-hour special that will tell the story of a group of passengers on an airliner who were attacked by a walker while on a flight. One of the surviving passengers will then appear in the second season of Fear The Walking Dead. AMC previously aired The Walking Dead web episodes online, but the network never used them to introduce a new character before he will join the TV show.
