Golden Globe winner Joanne Froggatt (Downton Abbey) and Eternity star Ioan Griffith will star in the Sundance TV six-episode thriller Liar, co-produced by Two Brothers Pictures and ITV. Scripted by BAFTA and Golden Globe nominees from producers and playwrights Harry and Jack Williams (Missing), the series tells how one night changed Laura's life forever Newell (Froggatt) and Andrew Ellis (Griffith). Laura, a smart and loving teacher, recently broke up and isn't sure if she'll want to date any time soon. The son of Andrew, a renowned surgeon, is attending the school where Laura works. Mutual sympathy ends with a date, but neither of them suspects the future consequences that their meeting will have on themselves and their families.
