In the Christmas episode of the BBC series Sherlock, Sherlock Holmes (Benedict Cumberbatch) and Dr. Watson (Martin Freeman) travel back in time. Co-creator Steven Moffat has confirmed rumors that the special will be set in Victorian London. This is reported by Entertainment Weekly. About the special, Moffat said the following: " This episode should be viewed as a completely independent episode. We would not have told this story if not for this special. It is not part of a three-episode season. My colleague Mark Gatiss and I wanted the events to take place in the Victorian era, and so we movieed this completely independent episode.
