Hans Zimmer will write music for Christopher Nolan's new movie
Hans Zimmer will continue his collaboration with Christopher Nolan and will write the music for the director's next movie, Dunkirk. This was reported on the official website of the German composer. It is noteworthy that in the commentary on this it is stated that Zimmer has already begun work on the soundtrack, which is very atypical, since usually composers write music after the movieing is completed. Recall that the plot will focus on the famous Dunkirk operation to evacuate allied forces from continental Europe to England after German troops broke through the Maginot defensive line and actually occupied France. The operation involved not only the British military, but also the civilian population of France and England. Thanks to coordinated actions, more than 330,000 Allied servicemen were rescued. Filming will start in May 2016 with an eye on the premiere on July 21, 2017. The full cast was not named at the time of this writing, it was only assumed that the key roles could be played by Tom Hardy, Kenneth Branagh and Mark Rylance.
