The multiplayer shooter Star Wars: Battlefront will be beta testing in early October 2015. According to Gamespot, Electronic Arts has announced that Xbox One, PS4 and PC consoles will be able to appreciate the merits and demerits of the game.
Users and fans will be able to experience the massive 40-player mode called "Walker Assault" on the snowy planet of Hoth. Key characters such as Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader will also be available to everyone.
In addition, everyone will be able to play the "Survival Mission" in the Tatooine system, where a small squad of rebels will have to fight off the advancing forces of the Empire. At the time of this writing, the name of another mod is known, which along with "Walker Assault" and "Survival Mission" will be present in the beta. It's called "Drop Zone", and the details will be announced closer to October.
It should be noted that the entire gameplay, achievements, characters, and so on will not go to the main game client after testing is over. Also, EA warns, there are various bugs possible.
As a reminder, there are currently no announcements indicating that the game needs to be pre-ordered in order to gain access to the beta.
