The DC adaptation of The Flash has lost two more potential directors. As reported by Entertainment Weekly, from the honor of leading the project of the Warner Bros. directors Sam Raimi and Mark Webb declined. The exact reason for the directors' disagreement to take on such obligations has not been specified.

Note that both have experience in movieing superhero movies: both Reimi and Webb have previously noted screen adaptations of Marvel comics about Spider-Man, and the work of the former is considered almost the best in this genre. Thus, the only serious candidate for the studio was Robert Zemeckis, negotiations with whom at the time of this writing are still ongoing.

Recall that Warner Bros. for several years it has not been possible to find a director for the movie "The Flash". Earlier, several directors left the project due to unclear "creative differences" with the studio management. Initially, the release of the picture was scheduled for March 2018, but later the premiere was postponed indefinitely. Ezra Miller is still starring as a superhero in the fall 2017 movie Justice League.
