The USA Association of Film and Television Producers (APKiT), which will bring together about three dozen leading companies in the USA television and movie production market, intends to "streamline the work of search engines" in 2017. As the Izvestia edition explains, we are talking about limiting search results at the legislative level for queries like "download / watch for free." This provision is supposed to be consolidated in the new edition of the so-called "anti-piracy law", which was submitted to the State Duma for consideration. Previously, a similar radical tool has already been proposed, but it was assumed that search engines should block the issuance for such requests on a voluntary basis. Then the initiative did not find support from leading Internet companies. In addition, the head of the APKiT Sergei Selyanov informed that one of the main priorities of the organization for the coming year will be the development of a program for providing tax incentives for moviemakers. According to him, the Moscow region will soon join the project, and the Glavkino company will play an important role in this process, which has every chance of becoming the main platform in this region.
