Evan McGregor is ready to play Obi-Wan in the Star Wars spin-off
Evan McGregor believes the Walt Disney Company should movie a Star Wars spin-off set between Episodes 3 and 4 with a storyline centered on Obi-Wan Kennoby. The actor spoke about this in an interview with Indiewire. "I am declaring publicly right now. I would be happy to play in such a movie. I think this is a good idea," he said. The actor also admitted that he was impressed by the trailer for "Star Wars: Episode 7 - The Force Awakens", but he is critical of the idea of redesigning the lightsaber, which the moviemakers provided with a guard. "I admire him as much as everyone else. But I'm not sure about the guard. If you can use your lightsaber correctly, you don't need it," he added. Recall that McGregor played Obi-Wan in the new Star Wars trilogy. In the original, the role of the famous Jedi is played by Alec Guinness.
